Executive Board Badge With Trident Pin

Members of Tri Delta's Executive Board receive these gold Stars and Crescent badges with emeralds when they are elected to the board. They are presented with a matching trident when their board service is concluded.

Details

Tri Delta Founder Sarah Ida Shaw Martin, Boston University, began the tradition of special pieces of jewelry being passed to Fraternity officers for the duration of their term. The earliest pieces were her personal belongings, but over the years items belonging to other early leaders were added to the collection. It became a tradition for the Fraternity's leaders to pass the pieces to their incoming counterparts at the end of their induction ceremony. Members of Tri Delta's Executive Board receive these gold badges with emeralds when they are elected to the board. They are presented with a matching trident when their board service is concluded.

This badge consists of three stars, crown set with emeralds, within a gold crescent of three hundred degrees bearing three deltas in black enamel. Attached is a trident pin with three additional emeralds.
