The Stars and Crescent badge within this ring originally belonged to Bessie Leach Priddy, Adrian College.

Details

Tri Delta Founder Sarah Ida Shaw Martin, Boston University, began the tradition of special pieces of jewelry being passed to Fraternity officers for the duration of their term. The earliest pieces were her personal belongings, but over the years items belonging to other early leaders were added to the collection. It became a tradition for the Fraternity's leaders to pass the pieces to their incoming counterparts at the end of their induction ceremony. This ring is traditionally given to the Fraternity President.

This ring features a stars and crescent badge set in a ring shank. The badge consists of three stars, crown set with diamonds, within a gold crescent of three hundred degrees bearing three deltas in black enamel. Three additional diamonds are set within the crescent.
