Details

1931

Tri Delta Founder Sarah Ida Shaw Martin, Boston University, began the tradition of special pieces of jewelry being passed to Fraternity officers for the duration of their term. The earliest pieces were her personal belongings, but over the years items belonging to other early leaders were added to the collection. It became a tradition for the Fraternity's leaders to pass the pieces to their incoming counterparts at the end of their induction ceremony. This ring was formerly worn by the Fraternity Finance Director and was first given to Pearle Bonisteel, University of Oregon, at the 1931 Convention. The ring is now passed to a member of the Executive Board.

This silver ring is set with a central pearl surrounded by three deltas set with diamonds.
