Eve Woods Riley attended Southern Methodist University, where she was a member of Theta Kappa Chapter.

Riley served as president of Tri Delta from 1992 to 1994. Her other Fraternity roles include the associate director of collegiate chapter support (1990 to 1992), alumnae vice president (1996-2000), and chairman of the National Panhellenic Conference (2009-2001). Each year, Tri Delta awards the Eve Woods Riley Scholarship in her honor. The scholarship allows five Tri Deltas to attend the North American Inter-Fraternity Conference’s Undergraduate Inter-Fraternity Unit.

In describing the importance of Tri Delta to her life, Riley once said, “I have come to realize that our Purpose is far more profound and universal in its application than I first thought. I see it now as providing lifelong guidance not only in our relationships with our Tri Delta sisters, but also in all our interactions with, and responsibilities to, others. Being always mindful of our Purpose has been for me an ever-present goal and guide, an inspiration, and a welcome challenge for living what I hope has been, and will continue to be, a meaningful life.”
