Frances Priddy McDonald, University of Missouri, was born in Michigan in 1906. The daughter of Bessie Leach Priddy, Adrian College, Tri Delta was a part of Frances' life since birth: she attended her first convention in 1906 at just 10 weeks old. She attended the University of Missouri, where her mother was dean of women. Frances became the first legacy member initiated into Delta Xi Chapter.

McDonald held a number of positions on Tri Delta’s Executive Board. She served as collegiate secretary from 1942 to 1944, executive secretary from 1944 to 1946, and president from 1946 to 1948, making her the only daughter of a Tri Delta president to achieve the same office. She was also editor of The Trident for 26 years.

McDonald died on July 16, 1979 at the age of 73.
