This Stars and Crescent badge belonged to Maud Elizabeth Muzzy, Boston University.
This is one of the first badges created for Tri Delta Fraternity. The plain design reflects the Founders' wish to keep the badge simple and inexpensive, so its cost would not prevent potential members from joining. Sarah Ida Shaw Martin, Boston University, was able to have these made of thinly rolled gold at $1.25 each by purchasing 24 from a jeweler.
This badge consists of three stars within a gold crescent of three hundred degrees engraved with three deltas. Attached is a trident pin.
