Alpha Iota Chapter was installed in January 1917. Delegates from other chapters including St. Lawrence and Cornell made the trip. An outstanding chapter throughout its existence, it was the only NPC chapter left after a surge of anti-fraternity regulations forced the closing of the other three NPC chapters. Alpha Iota felt it would be too difficult to carry on alone, and it regretfully asked the Executive Board to withdraw its charter.
