The installation of Phi Psi Chapter in April 1965 was held as rampaging flood waters threatened the city. Between various installation activities, both collegiate and alumnae members were busing working as volunteers during the emergency. The reception was cancelled, and the Fraternity presented $100 to the Red Cross in the name of the chapter for flood relief.
