Born in Sauk Centre, Minnesota, in 1870, Caroline Edgar Erdmann, University of Minnesota, became a charter member of Theta Chapter at the University of Minnesota when the chapter was established in 1894. That same year, Erdmann became Tri Delta’s third grand president, a position she held until 1897. While serving as grand president, Erdmann presided over Tri Delta’s third Convention in 1897.
Erdmann graduated with a degree in dentistry in 1896 and practiced as a dentist in Minneapolis until her marriage to the anatomy professor Charles Erdmann in 1898. In addition to her service to Tri Delta, Erdmann was an active member of the University of Minnesota’s Faculty Women’s Club and the Hennepin County Medical Society.
Erdmann passed away in 1952 at the age of 82.
